NerveX is seeking a Postdoctoral Clinical Research Scientist to join our research and development team. This role involves driving multiple studies within clinical and academic settings, primarily based in the Kingston area. The successful candidate will have experience and knowledge in conducting clinical trials that involve both animal models and human subjects.

Position Summary:
As a Postdoctoral Clinical Research Scientist in NerveX’s dynamic research team, you will play a pivotal role in advancing scientific knowledge using our cutting edge devices. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in groundbreaking research across both clinical and academic settings in the Kingston area. You will contribute to a diverse range of studies, playing a key role in developing and implementing research protocols. Your primary focus will be on the meticulous collection and management of data, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our research findings. Additionally, your expertise will be crucial during the analysis phase, where you will interpret complex biomedical data sets and help draw meaningful conclusions.
This role encourages collaboration with experienced researchers and clinicians, allowing you to provide insights and contribute to advancements in medical and health sciences. The specific studies you will engage in span a broad spectrum of scientific inquiry, details of which will be discussed in one-on-one meetings. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct experiments to evaluate the efficacy of medical devices, employing a range of procedures tailored to each study’s methodology
- Maintain meticulous records of experimental procedures and data for multiple studies conducted in clinical and academic settings in the Kingston area
- Perform data analysis and modeling on diverse datasets
- Troubleshoot, evaluate, and adjust study protocols as needed to enhance data quality or meet experimental requirements
- Effectively communicate complex results to colleagues, both technical and non-technical
- Actively participate in internal and external team meetings
- Work effectively under pressure and tight timelines
Qualifications:
- A PhD degree in a relevant field such as Life Science or Biomedical Engineering, obtained within the last four (4) years
- Proven experience in clinical research involving human and/or animal subjects
- Demonstrated expertise in executing clinical trials, specifically for medical device validation
- Strong problem-solving skills, a self-driven attitude, and the ability to excel in a team-oriented environment
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences effectively
