Hardware Engineering Internship

NEW YORK, NYR&D – HARDWARE INTERN

CTRL-labs is developing a wearable neural interface for the wrist/forearm that allows creators to build revolutionary new experiences and applications in VR/AR, gaming, robotics, health, productivity and more. And we’re seeking hardware, firmware, and mechanical engineering interns!

About the position:

We’re interested in candidates who are working toward a BA/BS in electrical engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field and who will be graduating in 2020 or 2021. We’re also open to applicants with significant (i.e. 2-4 years) intensive/professional hardware experience, regardless of educational background.

We’re especially interested in candidates who have a background/experience in any of the following:

Electrical Engineering

• PCB design and debug
• Python and/or C++
• Biological signal processing
• Analog circuit design
• Debug of circuits

Firmware Engineering

• Microprocessor coding and debug
• Interfacing with peripherals
• Object-oriented programming

Mechanical Engineering

• Prototyping processes
• Design for production methods
• Design for manufacturing
• SolidWorks
• Passionate about products

About the program:

Our main internship program runs from May through August each year, but start/end dates are flexible, and we are also open to interns who want to join us at any other point in the year. CTRL-labs provides the following to interns:
