The Staff Product Manager will work across interdisciplinary project teams and connect with technical and clinical team leads as well as external collaborators to ensure accountability throughout product development.
Responsibilities:
- Drive partnerships with external companies, clinicians, and patients to move product innovation forward
- Head the gathering of product feature information, customer(s) requirements and support recommendations for innovations and enhancements
- Work with an interdisciplinary team and stakeholders to examine innovative opportunities for applying new technologies to feasibility activities and future product development
- Support cross functional project-related activities to align on product development goals. For example, task analysis and usability studies to guide development decisions
- Generate and review user needs, system, and product requirements for a class 3 medical device in cross functional collaboration to ensure they’re successfully achieved under a design control process
- Take part in defining key safety and performance criteria for class 3 medical device components Hardware and Software
- Take part in external companies and clinician-related activities to move product development forward with the clinical team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in the Life Sciences or Engineering
- MBA is a plus
- Seven years’ experience working in medical devices
- Five years years’ experience in Product Management roles
- Deep understanding of the design control process for medical devices and familiar with FDA regulations
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Ability to communicate and/or present in front of all levels of the organization
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Solid technical background in hardware with understanding and/or hands-on experience in product development for medical devices

- Up to 20% travel
