Elucid’s Visualization Team is looking for a candidate who is passionate about applying real-time 3D computer graphics to our SaaS-based product. As a Principal Imaging and Visualization Engineer, you will be an integral part of our product development organization, combining data created from our deep learning team and data annotated by our Clinical Analysts with Medical Imaging data to generate real-time, interactive visualizations for clinicians to quickly arrive at diagnostic decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the design, development and testing of interactive 3D image rendering components in an agile software environment.
• Collaborate with members of our application front end development team to deliver best in class visualization and end user interactions.
• Assess performance, latency to identify bottlenecks and areas for performance optimization
• Proactively identify risks and contribute to delivery plans

The ideal candidate will have:

• 7+ years of experience working within a product development team
• 7+ years of experience with C++
• Experience with developing visualization applications using the Visualization Toolkit (VTK) or similar (OpenInventor, OpenSceneGraph, experience with gaming engines such as Unreal or Unity, or direct experience with OpenGL and GLSL)
• Experience with 3D volume rendering using GPU/CUDA is a plus
• Experience with medical imaging is a plus
• BS or MS Computer science with Computer Graphics or Image Processing concentration

Elucid is a hybrid workplace with a strong preference for candidates to live in the greater Boston area. Boston-based employees are strongly encouraged to be in the office on Monday and Wednesday, at a minimum. The office is open 5 days a week for those who prefer to be in person.
