We are seeking a talented and motivated staff MEMS Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in developing our next generation of MEMS-based products. As a MEMS Engineer, your primary focus will be on designing high-quality, robust, and reliable MEMS sensors for various sensing applications. Additionally, you will be responsible for packaging solutions and ASIC integration to ensure the seamless functionality of our implantable devices.
Responsibilities
- In this role, you will be at the forefront of the designing state-of-the-art MEMS sensors which would be fabricated at industry standard MEMS foundries
- Thoroughly investigating various performance parameters of MEMS sensors, such as temperature nonlinearity, sensitivity, offset, drift, aging, etc
- Utilize ANSYS simulation software to model and analyze MEMS devices, enabling accurate predictions of their behavior and performance under various conditions
- Contribute to advanced packaging techniques to ensure MEMS-ASIC integrated systems meet industry standards for reliability and performance of implantable devices
- Lead the design, development, and integration of MEMS devices with ASICs, ensuring seamless compatibility and optimal performance
- Work closely with other teams to create prototypes, conduct comprehensive testing, and iterate on designs to achieve optimal performance
- Continuously identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency enhancement in MEMS integration, ANSYS simulation, and packaging
- Maintain detailed documentation of design specifications, simulation results, and testing procedures
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including system engineers, mechanical, and software engineers to deliver successful projects on time
- Develop and execute test plans to validate design performance and reliability
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited direction and juggle multiple priorities and deliver against a schedule
Key Qualifications
- PhD with 5+ years of industry experience focusing on MEMS design
- Proven experience in MEMS sensor design, from simulation using FEA modeling to fabrication, characterization, and packaging
- Proficiency in MEMS design tools such as Coventorware and L-Edit, along with experience in ANSYS simulation tools, and 3D CAD software is essential
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex issues and propose innovative solutions
- A drive for innovation and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in MEMS technology

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts and collaborate with team members
Preferred Qualifications
- Any Experience in MEMS packaging techniques for biocompatibility will be highly advantageous
- Familiarity with ASIC design process, wafer grinding, wafer dicing, die attach, flex attach, wire bond, encapsulation, and wafer level packaging processes
- Experience/deep understanding of MEMS chip to package interactions
- Experience or strong interest for working on medical devices and Class 3 implants
