Application

At CoMind, we are developing a neuro-sensing technology that will catalyse a modern wave of neuroscience and neurology applications within medical devices. In joining us, you are helping to create cutting edge technologies that will improve how we diagnose and treat brain disorders, ultimately improving and saving the lives of patients across the world.

The Role:

As Senior Machine Learning Engineer you will develop current and next-generation ML-based products using data generated from our novel brain sensor.  You will be embedded in a multidisciplinary team of researchers and will work closely alongside experts in optics, neuroscience, and software/data engineering. Within this team, your focus will be to first prototype, and then bring into production, data driven models that augment the core measurement capabilities of our device, enabling new predictions, and new signals to be extracted from our unique multimodal medical device.

Responsibilities:

  • Analysis and interpretation of time-series data collected using CoMind’s neural sensor
  • Research: Idea generation and development of model prototypes that satisfy product requirements
  • Productionisation: Implement best practices for model validation, testing, and versioning and establish post-deployment monitoring of generalization, robustness, and drift
  • Research the scientific and medical literature to find new methods and to stay current with the state-of-the art in both the ML and the medical device space
  • Requirement gathering from collaborators, synthesise into development work items, presenting to colleagues before execution.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience bringing Machine Learning models into production within the SaMD or medical device space.  You have specific experience in sequence modelling and time-series prediction (from RNNs to transformers)
  • 5+ years industry experience in a similar role
  • A background in the analysis and interpretation of physiological signals, and background knowledge of human cardiac and neurophysiology
  • You are current with industry best-practices in ML-Ops and Data Engineering
  • You are proud of the quality of your Python and are fluent in several additional languages
  • You display a research mindset; you’re happy to fail fast whilst prototyping new ideas
  • Strong oral, written, and data communication skills.

Benefits:

  • Generous stock options
  • Company pension scheme
  • Breakfast and snacks provided
  • Private medical, dental and vision insurance
  • Weekly lunches
  • 25 days holiday (+ bank holidays)
  • Hybrid working (3 days in-office)
  • Quarterly work-from-anywhere policy.
