Job Responsibilities:

The Event Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of key sales and customer (HCP) events, in particular global tradeshows, HCP events, and other marketing or sales trainings. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in event management, an organized and detail-oriented approach, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an understanding of branding.

 

General Description and Duties:

  • Plan and execute various events, including national trade shows, physician site visits, and other Sales or Marketing activities.
  • Coordinate all logistical aspects of events, including venue selection, catering, transportation, audiovisual (AV) setup, accommodations, and stakeholder communications.
  • Efficiently manages pre-event preparations, event days, and post-event wrap-ups.
  • Collaborate with external vendors, contractors, and partners to ensure seamless execution of events.
  • Manages event inventory in partnership with exhibit house.
  • Foster positive relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, internal teams, and event partners.
  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across sponsorships, exhibits, equipment, shipping, labor, advertising, and other expenses.
  • Ensure that all contracts are fulfilled by exhibitors according to established rules and regulations.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and identify opportunities to improve event strategy and execution.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to create event-specific marketing collateral, including promotional materials, invitations, and signage.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to measure the success of each event against defined goals and objectives.
  • Generate comprehensive reports summarizing key metrics, feedback, and lessons learned.

Position Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organization and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple events while meeting deliverable deadlines.
  • Travel required, occasionally over a weekend (up to 30%).
  • Out-of-the-box thinker who possesses strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong team player who is willing to step in and help others. Self-driven and self-motivated individual who can work independently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels and work well cross-functionally.
  • Demonstrates ability to adapt and respond effectively to unforeseen challenges during events.
  • Experience with Eventsuite is a plus.

 

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field.

 

Minimum Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience in event planning.

 

Salary:

For California, the base pay range for this position is $100,000 to $115,000 (highly experienced).

The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).
