Essential Duties And Responsibilities

To Perform This Job Successfully, An Individual Must Be Able To Perform Each Essential Duty Satisfactorily.

• Supervisory duties and responsibilities include: a) Writes and conducts annual performance appraisals and ensures regular feedback, coaching & counseling, and communication with staff; b) Provides development opportunities for staff to broaden and enhance skills and abilities; c) Administers company policies and procedures in the Purchasing, Planning, Distribution and Warehousing Departments; d) Ensures compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP and ISO), and other regulatory compliance; e) Ensures compliance with safety policies, and good housekeeping; f) Responsible for initial training of new employees and on-going training of subordinates to ensure quality of work; g) Promotes Total Quality Management and emphasizes an environment to foster teamwork; and h) Knowledge of, and ensures departmental compliance with, all Human Resource policies and procedures.
• Develops partnerships with Site Management Staff to assure timely and effective communication of critical material issues, site priorities and planning activities.
• Provides input for development of Company Strategic Plan for attainment of short and long-term objectives.
• Oversees proper staffing within each reporting department to maintain high-level performance of daily production requirements and new product introductions.
• Directs ongoing cost reduction and continuous improvement programs within areas of responsibility.
• Manages inventories for raw materials, work in process and finished goods.
• Develops and manages the capital and expense budgets within areas of responsibility.
• Facilitates the formal Sales and Operating Planning process and ensures execution of the Plan.
• Oversees the development, implementation, and monitoring of production planning and purchasing.
• Assures cost effective raw material and finished goods planning methods.
• Provides leadership of strategic sourcing decisions and initiatives.
• Reviews supplier agreements and contracts.
• Analyzes and implements changes in policies and procedures which improve quality, cycle time, and/or cost.
• Leads material planning for new product launches, product transfers, and life cycle management projects.
