Position Summary:
The Enterprise Database System Software Developer will have demonstrated success in designing, implementing, and deploying high-performance scalable distributed database software systems in a Microsoft Windows environment. This includes back-end, client-to-server communication, and direct client-to-client communication. This position will report to the Director of Software Development and can be remote or located at company headquarters in Kennewick, WA.
Key Duties / Responsibilities:
- Enterprise database system & software maintenance and optimization
- Enterprise database system & software connectivity and performance enhancements
- Enterprise database system & software scalability enhancements
- Next-Gen Enterprise database system & software design and implementation
- Interface with Cadwell’s individual product teams
- Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
Education / Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of related experience required
- Comfortable in handling “off-line” cases within a distributed database environment.
- Must have experience with Mobile, Web, and Cloud back-end infrastructure design, implementation, and deployment
- Experience with networking (not exclusively Windows)
- Server configuration and maintenance
- Must have an understanding of scalability concepts (horizontal vs. vertical, etc.)
- Must be familiar with the following concepts/technologies:
- Failover clustering (or other high availability techniques)
- Database synchronization
- High-sample rate data storage (in DB or out)
- Citrix
- VMWare Horizon
- AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud
- C#
- WCF
- MS SQL
- SQLite
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:
- Positions working with Cadwell equipment generally may require some reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, standing, walking, sitting, hearing, visual acuity, color vision, and 2-way written/verbal communication. More specific details may be provided as needed or requested.
- Extensive use of computer
- 10-20% travel (quarterly visits to headquarters in Kennewick, WA); must be able to obtain necessary travel documents
- Work hours outside normal business hours may be required to meet business needs

Pay Range: $90,000 – $125,000 per year
