The primary responsibility of the Senior Accountant is to support the Accounting Manager in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance/Accounting Department. The Senior Accountant will “own” the Subsidiary financial statements and reporting, including maintaining the accounting relationship between Subsidiary and Life Spine.

Responsibilities:

• General Ledger Maintenance and prepare journal entries.
• Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures, as well as prepare financial statements.
• Audit all expense reports for proper receipts/documentation, as well as Sunshine Act reporting.
• Prepare all journal entries and financial statements for Subsidiary. Reconcile payables and receivables between Life Spine and Subsidiary.
• Assist with monthly financial statement analysis of revenues and expenses on monthly basis.
• Serve as a backup to the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.
• Assist with preparation of external audit documentation.
• Strong inventory management and variance analysis experience.
• Prepare and file compliance tax filings.
• Prepares correspondence and participates in special department projects.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required along with 2 – 6 years of accounting experience.
• The ability to write procedures and organize tasks along with a progressive accounting history that includes skills in general ledger management, inventory reconciliation and profit/loss statements and balance sheets.
• Good understanding of US GAAP;
• QuickBooks and/or Dynamics AX experience a plus.

Physical Demands: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Must be able to sit for long periods of time.

Anticipated Travel: Less than 5%
