Description

The Department of Psychology at Bryn Mawr College invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Computational Neuroscience to begin August 1, 2024. We welcome scholars using computational methods to investigate the interface between psychological/neuroscience phenomena. We are looking for candidates who have a theoretically and methodologically sophisticated research program and can meaningfully incorporate undergraduate students in such research. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a computationally focused survey course in neuroscience, a seminar and lab course in their area of expertise, and contribute to service courses (e.g., Research Methods and Statistics; Introduction to Neuroscience). Candidates are also expected to be part of the department’s efforts to develop and teach a diverse and inclusive curriculum, including interdisciplinary programs and other college-wide initiatives such as the 360 Program, Emily Balch Seminars and/or the Data Science Minor. Candidates should hold a doctoral degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a closely allied field and must have completed all Ph.D. requirements by the start date. Postdoctoral experience is desirable.
