Headsafe is a medical device start up in Sydney, Australia that was established in 2017 to develop and commercialise the patented NUROCHEK System. The company’s goal is to revolutionise concussion assessment and management through technology. Headsafe’s present focus is on scientific and clinical research of the next iteration of NUROCHEK and its application in the assessment of brain function, with research partnerships in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.
We are looking to expand our team of casual field researchers in Sydney (AUS).
Responsibilities
Field Researchers attend organised events in which a variety of individuals are examined with our devices under a HREC approved protocol. It is the responsibility of the researcher to adhere to the methodology and rules of the protocol, as they complete the following tasks and responsibilities
- Set up, use, and calibration of the Nurochek Products
- Patient communication and handling/interaction (in-person)
- Recruitment, consent, and testing of research subjects
- Product and process related documentation and administration
- Research and user data analytics
- Site monitoring and reporting to the research coordinator
Qualifications
- No specific qualification is required, but a background/experience in clinical research, health science, and/or medical devices is favoured.
- Working with Children’s check may be necessary for some research events.
- All required training, including good clinical practice (GCP), will be provided upon onboarding.
Type of Employment
- The research events are ad-hoc, and as such the position is casual.
- Most events are after hours (post 5pm) or on weekends.
- Following onboarding and training, the research coordinator will contact you in advance with upcoming dates that events are on to confirm your availability.
