Role: B2B Marketing Director 

Responsible to: Chief Commercial Officer 

Location: UK/ ROI/ East Coast US

 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced B2B Marketing Director to lead our lead generation efforts in the life sciences industry, with a primary focus on targeting Biopharma. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of marketing strategies in the life sciences sector and a proven track record of successfully generating and nurturing leads. The candidate must also possess expertise in Hubspot and/or SalesForce CRM platforms to effectively execute email campaigns and track performance.

 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will support the Biopharma Business Development and Corporate Communications functions.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to generate high-quality leads in the life sciences industry, specifically focused on Biopharma Clinical R&D.
  • Manage and optimize existing target lists; leverage third party vendors including SciLeads to validate target customer information.
  • Manage the Cumulus Hubspot Marketing & Sales Hub Professional CRM to effectively manage leads, track marketing performance, and provide insights to measure campaign success.
  • Utilize a variety of marketing channels, including content marketing, social media, webinars, email campaigns, conferences, etc., to reach and engage target audiences.
  • Work closely with the Head, Global Business Development to understand their lead requirements and collaborate on lead nurturing tactics.
  • Create compelling content (e.g., case studies, white papers, infographics) in collaboration with our Creative Director to attract and engage target prospects.
  • Leverage competitive intelligence to inform marketing strategies.
  • Optimize marketing campaigns through A/B testing, data analysis, and strategic planning, focusing on increasing lead conversion rates and ROI.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and relevant messaging for marketing campaigns.
  • Monitor marketing budget, track spending, and report the return on investment (ROI) of marketing activities.
  • Manage and optimize the corporate website.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and marketing trends to continuously enhance lead generation efforts.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of B2B marketing experience, preferably in the life sciences industry
  • Proven track record of generating leads and driving revenue growth through marketing strategies.
  • Experience targeting biopharma and/or contract research organizations (CROs) is a plus.
  • Strong familiarity with Hubspot and/or SalesForce CRM platforms to effectively manage leads and measure marketing success.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling marketing content.
  • Analytical mindset with strong data-driven decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
  • Strong project management skills with experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven approach.
