The Di Ianni Lab (https://diiannilab.ucsf.edu) at UCSF is recruiting a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow with experience or strong interest in one or more of the following areas:
- ultrasound neuromodulation
- electrophysiology
- optical imaging
- functional neuroimaging
- systems neuroscience
We are affiliated with the UCSF Departments of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences and Radiology & Biomedical Imaging. Our lab is located in the UCSF Weill Institute for Neurosciences on the Mission Bay campus. Our research is focused on developing cutting-edge technologies for ultrasound neuromodulation, functional ultrasound imaging, and image-guided neurointervention. We are part of the fast-growing UCSF Focused Ultrasound in Neuroscience program, a multi-department effort that seeks to bring together investigators working on clinical, translational, and basic science applications of focused ultrasound in psychiatry, neurology, neurosurgery, and neuro-oncology. The program offers outstanding opportunities to establish collaborations with clinical scientists.
- Ideal candidates should have received a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in a relevant field such as Bioengineering or Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience, Electrical Engineering, or other closely related field by the time the position starts.
- Candidates should have a strong track record of research accomplishments.
- Experience working with rodents and with the Verasonics ultrasound research platform is strongly preferred.
- The ideal candidate should also have prior experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, Matlab, R).
- This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a diverse and interdisciplinary team.
