As a machine learning researcher on the Apple Vision Pro team, you will perform cutting-edge artificial intelligence research that will shape the future of spatial computing. Our mission is to fuse vision, language, and other multidimensional sensor streams into a rich understanding of human interactions with the physical, social, and virtual worlds. Ever evolving, our current focus is on combining the strengths of large-scale self-supervised learning with data- and power-efficient methods for on-device learning to enable the Apple Vision Pro to adapt to the user and enable effortless, natural multimodal experiences.

Key Qualifications

• In-depth expertise in machine learning research
• Domain expertise in one or more of computer vision, audio, NLP, multimodal fusion, and computer graphics.
• Strong mathematical background in linear algebra and statistics.
• Publication record in relevant venues (e.g. NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ACL, AAAI, SIGGRAPH).
• Proficient in Python and C/C++; CUDA or other GPGPU is a plus.
• Expertise with at least one deep learning framework, for example PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Jax
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate in a diverse environment
• Interdisciplinary background working with experts in behavioral sciences, such as neuroscience, psychology, linguistics, behavioral economics, or cognitive science is a plus.

Work on some of the most ambitious technical problems on data and compute efficient machine learning and spatial AI Research novel AI solutions that will impact future Apple products Collaborate with world-class machine learning researchers and engineers to bring research ideas to production Publish and present your work in world-class scientific venues in machine learning Provide technical mentorship and guidance

Education & Experience

BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900.00 and $256,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
