Overview
Position Overview: We are seeking an energetic, responsible Mechanical Engineering intern to join our growing organization! You will follow a structured program, learning how our organization operates and contributing to our mission, vision, and values. As the intern, you will collaborate with a select group of experienced product development engineers who will guide you on projects that matter to our customers.
As an intern, you will be matched to a manager and a mentor. You will have the opportunity to influence the evolution of the technology of NeuroStar and help with critical projects early in your career. Your design and critical thinking ability will contribute to solving complex technical challenges in the areas of mechanical, electromechanical, systems engineering, prototype development and test execution – to name a few.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Development of prototypes
- Writing and performing test protocols
- System integration and system level testing
- Participate in design reviews
- Create, maintain and execute test plans and protocols for the release of Neuronetics product
- Working closely with requirements authors and internal/external product development teams
- Other Duties as needed or required
Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of general mechanical engineering and product development processes
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience with problem solving techniques: Six Sigma, structured problem solving (Kaizen), etc.
- Ability to work with members of the hardware development team and cross-functionally to solve problems quickly
- Strong communications skills
Education and Experience:
- Working toward Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline
- Experience with SolidWorks, Microsoft Office tools

- Travel by air, rail, auto (% of time) 0%
This is a remote role that is based in and supports the west coast.
