Overview

Position Overview:

The Senior Analyst, Sales Commission and Reporting, will play a key role in designing, analyzing, and administering sales compensation plans to drive sales performance and support the achievement of business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sales compensation design, data analysis, sales team dashboards and a deep understanding of sales incentive structures.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the commission compensation plan for approximately 80 sales representatives and managers, encompassing 8 different plans.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of commission models.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of monthly and annual quotas.
  • Ensure sales compensation practices adhere to company policies.
  • Manage SPIFFS process and ensure effective use of the SPIFFS budget.
  • Assist in conducting internal audits and reviews of compensation data to maintain data integrity.
  • Research and facilitate the resolution of sales commission related issues. Identify and report systemic or recurring problems.
  • Support sales team members by responding to inquiries, providing report training, and investigating data and other potential compensation errors.
  • Develop and deliver regular and ad-hoc sales compensation reports and dashboards to provide insights to sales leadership and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with HR and sales teams to ensure accurate and timely commission calculations and payouts.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance sales compensation processes and systems to improve efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.
  • Collaborate with IT and operations teams to automate compensation calculations and reporting.
  • Assist in developing training materials to educate sales teams on compensation programs and tools.

  • Must be able to work independently and perform to high standards of productivity and accuracy. This individual should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and display the ability and the willingness to meet business critical deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and conduct complex data analysis.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills; a team player who has the ability to effectively interact with personnel at all levels of the organization.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel with the ability to create complex spreadsheets, including formulas, pivot tables. In addition, they must have knowledge of SharePoint and PowerBI tools.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (Accounting, Economics or Finance preferred)
  • 3-5 years of sales commission or sales reporting experience in a fast-paced environment
  • MBA preferred
  • Align Mix or Territory Mapping software a plus

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing/Sitting 90% (office base desk job)
  • Walking/Bending/Stooping 10% (office-based desk job)
  • Lifting Requirements (office-based desk job)
  • Minimal Travel by air, rail, auto (Less than 10%)
