Job position:

We are looking for a Junior Clinical Researcher to join our Clinical Neuroscience Department. The candidate will conduct clinical studies in our night laboratories involving EEG and other advanced brain/body monitoring technologies during sleep and wakefulness. We are looking for a person who is motivated to learn something new, who is not afraid of technology, and who is passionate about working with people, especially with elderly patients.

The work will be carried out at Bitbrain in Zaragoza (Spain), in our interdisciplinary Neuroscience department.  

 

Your main tasks:  

  • Perform data collection with cutting-edge neurotechnology during day and nighttime experiments
  • Perform memory tasks and other cognitive tests
  • Work with healthy participants and elderly patients with early dementia
  • Perform laboratory organization and management of material supplies
  • Support in the validation of new neurotech prototypes developed by our R&D department
  • Support with data analysis
  • Communicate effectively with your colleagues in English and Spanish
  • Solve problems flexibly in case challenges arise

What are we looking for?  

  • Good communication skills in Spanish and English to interact with patients and colleagues
  • Enthusiastic person with high openness for new things
  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Availability and strong motivation to conduct sleep experiments
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a natural science, engineering, or any other relevant field
  • Adaptability to independently work in a highly dynamic environment
  • Proficient use of applications on Windows and not being afraid to work with new software, learn to run some code other people have written etc.
  • Please note that this is a job offer in Zaragoza, Spain (mainly on-site) 

 

Bonus points if:  

  • Familiarity with EEG and/or other electrophysiological measurements  
  • Experience with clinical trials or medical device regulation.
  • Experience in performing neuroscience studies (sleep, cognitive psychology, neurostimulation, etc.).
  • Experience with EEG data analysis or sleep/memory/cognitive scales
