Research Scientist
At OpenBCI we are building the next generation of low-cost, high-quality human-computer interfaces. We are a growing team of ambitious entrepreneurs, engineers, designers, and scientists. We are hiring for a Data Scientist or Neuroscientist who has experience with applied machine learning and working with physiological data generated by non-invasive sensors. As OpenBCI grows, so will the complexity of our products. The Research Scientist will be responsible for developing scientifically-validated classifications of physical and cognitive states using OpenBCI equipment.
Come Innovate With OpenBCI
Primary Responsibilities
- Publish findings on behalf of OpenBCI in peer-reviewed journals.
- Apply to, manage, and execute grants.
- Design, obtain approvals for, and conduct human subjects research studies.
- Design and implement reproducible data collection and experimental methodologies.
- Implement computational models to analyze data collected with OpenBCI hardware and software.
- Develop state-of-the-art algorithms and classification pipelines that transform multimodal physiological data into higher-level insights on physical and cognitive states.
- Stay up-to-date with best-performing strategies for classifying physiological data and expand on those techniques with your own new ideas.
- Take ownership of the organization and analysis of experimental data
- Contribute to hardware and software product roadmaps.
- Wear many hats! OpenBCI is still a small company, so everyone has to get their hands dirty from time to time. We help each other out when necessary, and also when not.
