Position Description
We are currently seeking a passionate, medical device Senior Manager for Upstream Marketing to join our team. This individual must have a talent for developing and bringing compelling products to market. This Senior Manager will be responsible for all upstream marketing activities related to the RNS System, NeuroPace’s responsive neurostimulation therapy for the treatment of refractory epilepsy. Bay Area Candidates Preferred as this is a hybrid position and will need to be in the Mountain View, CA headquarters twice a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect voice of customer feedback on current products and unmet needs that drive future product development efforts (through qualitative and quantitative market research)
- Lead the creation of a product roadmap and product development strategy based on commercial needs
- Collaborate closely with product development, manufacturing, quality, regulatory and other teams to ensure successful execution in developing the target product to meets customer requirements
- Lead market research for all marketing needs
- Build market models and forecasts and conduct market analyses
- Lead the strategic planning process
- Assess potential global (OUS) opportunities
- Be an internal subject matter expert on product information and relevant clinical data
- Partner closely with the field teams to gather regular product feedback
- Ability to travel 25% of the time
Requirements
We are looking for candidates with at least 4 years of upstream marketing experience, including product development, market research, market analytics and modeling, and commercial strategy development. Experience in medical device, digital health or biotechnology/pharmaceuticals required.
- Experience in product development, including familiarity with product development processes, planning, and requirements
- Ability to work with product development groups and other cross functional team members collaboratively
- Strong analytical expertise – experience building market models and forecasts and running analyses on market data
- Experience leading a variety of market research projects
- Proven ability to perform strategic analysis, conduct strategic planning, and build marketing and commercial strategy
- Proven ability to effectively position and communicate product value, particularly with clinicians
- Strong written, presentation, and communication skills
- Excellence in project management and project execution
- Capacity to learn new technical skills and build clinical acumen for clear communication in all customer-facing materials
- Ability to work as a team member and to be flexible, adaptable, and able to work under pressure
- Self-motivated and self-directed individual with a conscientious approach to work assignments and demonstrated time management skills
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate proactive initiative to accomplish short and long-range projects, anticipate business needs, and recommend actions with minimal direction
- Enjoys the challenges of multitasking and working at a fast pace while staying flexible to shift tasks based on market dynamics.

$160K-$170K Base compensation
