The Role:  

Reporting to the Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing, the National Sales Director Canada (NSD), is a challenging role with strong leadership, customer engagement and execution demands. With demonstrated success in this role, the candidate may also be considered for positions of increasing responsibility in support of LivaNova’s strategic growth plan. The NSD Canada will develop and grow LivaNova’s presence nationally by strengthening partnerships with current customers and building relationships with new accounts and key opinion leaders. S/he will attract, develop and retain “best-in-class” talent and will unleash the potential of that team to deliver exceptional financial and non-financial results. S/he will foster a positive, collaborative and ethical culture that exemplifies the LivaNova Mission, Values and Pillars (MVP).  

 

Additionally, the NSD will have the following key responsibilities:  

  • Collaboratively develop Canada sales strategies to drive growth through increased penetration in existing accounts and new customer acquisition. 
  • Execute national sales strategy with regular view of all sales activities and performance.  
  • Provide coaching and direction to underperforming territories.  
  • Effectively manage the Canadian national sales expense budget  
  • Collaboratively manage customer pricing to include Tenders contracts, special agreements, and exceptions.  
  • Present monthly, quarterly, and yearly analyses of performance to LivaNova Executive and Senior Leadership  including Funnel Management
  • Establish and nurture partnerships with health system administrators, physicians, and other clinical partners with the aim of improving utilization of CP Products  
  • Build a culture of partnership, collaboration and accountability with his/her team of sales professionals and other LivaNova colleagues and external stakeholders.  
  • Lead by example in utilizing LivaNova Business Systems (LBS) tools to include National, Region and Territory level business planning as a methodology for effective results-driven leadership.  
  • Maintain the highest level of quality, integrity and compliance standards for self and team.  

 

Furthermore, the NSD will have the following skills, experience and attributes: 

  • 5+ years related medical device sales, commercial operations and/or marketing experience.  
  • 3-5 years outside sales experience.  
  • 2-3 years sales management experience preferably with a track record of delivering results
  • Experience in organizational design, sales force deployment  
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision skills.  
  • Demonstrated track record of strong clinical and technical value-based selling skills.  
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in an agile, dynamic environment.  
  • Proven ability to employ various communications methods to drive alignment, motivation and team effectiveness across a broad, varied and dispersed sales organization.  
  • Experience with Salesforce.com and/or other CRM system.  
  • Bachelor’s Degree required (emphasis in Marketing or Finance preferred).  
  • MBA preferred.  

 

Location:  Candidate must live in Canada (strong preference for Toronto)

Travel:  This position may require extensive business travel of 60% or more.  

Pay: 150K -210K Salary
