Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Summer Intern to join our team and assist with the evaluation and documentation of the performance of our Phantom Neuro Machine Learning Prosthesis Control system. As a Summer Intern, you will play a critical role in assessing the functionality, reliability, and effectiveness of our system through rigorous testing and analysis. You will work closely with our engineering and research teams to collect data, conduct experiments, and document findings to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct performance testing and evaluation of the Phantom Neuro Machine Learning Prosthesis Control system under various conditions and scenarios.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data from experimental trials using Python-based data analysis tools and software.
- Collaborate with engineers and researchers to identify performance metrics, benchmarks, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for evaluation.
- Document testing procedures, protocols, and results in detailed reports, presentations, and technical documentation.
- Assist in troubleshooting and debugging issues related to system performance and functionality.
- Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and project reviews to provide insights and recommendations for system improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of experiments, observations, and outcomes for future reference and analysis.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in neuroprosthetics, machine learning, and related technologies to contribute to ongoing research and development efforts.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong technical background with proficiency in Python programming for data analysis and scripting.
- Familiarity with oscilloscopes, signal processing, and data acquisition systems.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex datasets and draw meaningful insights.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in experimental setup, data collection, and documentation.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts and findings to a diverse audience.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Enthusiasm for technology, innovation, and making a positive impact in the field of neuroprosthetics.
- Prior experience or coursework in machine learning, neuroscience, or biomedical signal processing is a plus.
