Overview:

As a Resident Engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting projects as part of the development team. Working closely with stakeholders, you will contribute to the resolution of technical issues, participate in release processes, and manage change procedures. Effective communication with various teams, including customers, manufacturing sites, and global engineering teams, will be crucial for the successful execution of projects. You will also be the primary representative of Smart Eye to the customer.

Core Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Lead Design Release Engineer (DRE) to define requirements, verify performance, and address issues.
• Independently work at customer sites, taking direction from the Project Manager/Technical Project Lead and the Lead DRE.
• Address and resolve issues on assigned component technical specifications, working closely with requirement owners. Initiate change requests as necessary.
• Contribute to the resolution of system integration issues, including root cause analysis and verification of incidents through testing.
• Prepare and present responses to action items, ensuring effective communication and collaboration within the team.
• Coordinate time on test vehicles to ensure the subsystem is compliant to requirements.
• Perform software reflashes when software changes are released.
• Support simulator/bench and vehicle testing as required.
• Coordinate creation of customer required test plans.
• Communicate program timing requirements to the project team.
• Develop and maintain positive customer relationships.

Required Qualifications:

• Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant role.
• Proficient with Microsoft tools (Excel, Teams, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Familiarity with automotive cameras.
• Previous experience in an automotive development environment, which may include internships or cooperative programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to convey technical information effectively.
