Job description

Zander Labs is a leader in neuroadaptive technology, pioneering innovative solutions to enhance human-computer interaction. We are embarking on  Project NAFAS, a landmark 30 million EUR initiative set to revolutionize the field.

Project NAFAS is a non-medical research and development project, which, among other things, requires the recording of a large number of EEG data sets. In light of this, we are looking for an independent, responsible, and organized EEG technician and lab assistant to join our EEG recording facilities in Berlin, Delft, and Munich (Garching). The successful candidate will primarily record high-quality, high-density EEG data from a large number of participants, using modern commercial biosignal amplifiers and state of the art experimental protocols.

 

This position can be either full- or part-time.

 

As EEG technician / lab assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparation, execution, and documentation of high-quality EEG data collection
  • Participant preparation, information, and assistance
  • Evaluation and execution of EEG data collection protocols
  • Adherence to quality standards for acquisition and storage of EEG signals
  • Adherence to privacy standards for handling personal information
  • Execution of different participant acquisition methods
  • Scheduling time slots and related communication
  • Maintaining an organised and welcoming lab environment
  • Stock-taking and ensuring lab inventory
  • Training and/or coordinating others to assist data acquisition

 

Job requirements

  • Proven experience with EEG data acquisition
  • Formal qualifications as EEG technician are NOT required
  • Fluency and excellent communication skills in both English and German/Dutch (depending on location) are mandatory
  • Experience with various types of modern biosignal amplifiers and electrode systems
  • Experience with various types of electrode digitization tools is a plus
  • Understanding of privacy regulations
  • Understanding of basic principles of EEG
  • Familiarity with EEG visual inspection
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
