About the role

The Senior Quality Assurance Manager will drive continuous improvement in product quality by ensuring that suppliers are qualified and monitored effectively, by creating and updating quality control inspection plans in response to component or supplier quality issues, and by ensuring ongoing quality management system performance through audits, data analysis, and process updates.
As our Senior Quality Assurance Manager, you will
- Provide technical expertise in engineering as well as hands-on experience with quality management system requirements
- Influence and drive cross-functional projects
- Apply sound, systematic problem-solving methodologies including statistical analysis and root cause investigation to identify, prioritize, communicate, and resolve quality issues
- Lead quality in new supplier evaluation, selection, development, and ongoing management process
- Ensure the effectiveness of the quality management system by performing updates to QMS procedures, leading internal and external audits, and managing document control activities
- Create and maintain component incoming inspection plans
- Resolve non-conformances during incoming inspection, in-process inspection, and final acceptance testing, including troubleshooting of QC inspection methods
- Identify / drive root cause analysis, corrective action, and preventive action implementation to address non-conformances, customer complaints, audit observations, etc.
- Conduct post market surveillance
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in medical device industry is required
- Strong working knowledge of statistics and hands-on technical experience
- Direct experience with supplier producing product and parts in a regulated environment (i.e. GMPs, ISO13485, 21 CFR Part 820, etc.) preferred
- Experience in Product Life Cycle Management for new product development activities and post market design change
- Must have knowledge of Quality Engineering discipline, including formal problem solving (i.e. DMAIC, Six Sigma, etc.) and formal root cause analysis
- ASQ CQE preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $133,918.00 – $142,639.00 per year
