About the role

We are looking for people to join our team who are not afraid to roll up their sleeves, get to work, and make a difference in the world!

The Planning and Purchasing Manager will manage all aspects of material planning which includes converting the demand plan into a build schedule, analyzing material shortages, and purchasing items with approved vendors.

As our Planning and Purchasing Manager, you will

• Maintain and update MRP (Materials Requirement Planning) Excel Model to plan material purchases.
• Take forecast, input quarterly shipments and inventory to schedule, create, and release work orders for production. Understand full manufacturing schedule, working backwards from deadlines to create key milestone dates.
• Monitor “clear to build” based on incoming material. Adjust model for any supplier pushouts or pull-ins.
• Create and manage purchase orders with all major vendors. Handle escalation and any issues with counterparts.
• Prioritize builds as well as parts that need to be received and inspected based on need date.
• Manage vendor relationships, quarterly business reviews and scorecards.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, math, supply chain, or related field
• 5 years’ experience planning manufacturing builds or purchasing
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with electrical manufacturing and multi-level BOMs (bill of materials)
• Extraordinarily strong grasp of quality management systems with an emphasis in Medical Device
• Excel superuser with track record of building models from scratch
• Deep knowledge of PLM and ERP systems, preferably Arena and NetSuite
• Full understanding of the formulas and calculations for how an MRP system functions
• Knowledge of NPI and sustaining activities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $105,328.00 – $115,145.00 per year
