Your role
🧠 Clarity is seeking a highly driven intern to assist in creating prototypes of an immersive neuromodulation treatment. You will be an integral part of our technology development team and contribute to developing breakthrough neurotechnologies to treat people with neurodegenerative diseases. Our technology closely relates to Virtual Reality (VR) and Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCIs) and requires a keen understanding of electronic design, display technologies, and real-time video processing.
What you will do
- Innovative Projects: Engage in highly innovative projects, including research collaborations with academia, exploration of new off-the-shelf technologies, and development of custom solutions.
- Design and Development: Contribute to the design, prototyping, testing, and evaluation of electronic solutions. Ensure accuracy in test reports and participate in project meetings and design reviews.
- Hands-On Fabrication: Assist in the fabrication of PCBs, cables, assemblies, and other components. Source necessary components for integration into larger systems. Conduct reverse engineering to analyze and understand existing hardware. Work on FPGA to test real-time video processing.
- Cross-Disciplinary and International Collaboration: Work closely with professionals from various disciplines and 7 nationalities, leveraging your electronics expertise to support the team and enhance product development.
Who you are
Technical Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of electronic circuit design.
- Experience or specialization in computers and display technologies.
- Familiarity with reverse engineering techniques for hardware analysis.
- Experience with FPGA and real-time video processing is highly desirable.
- Interest or experience in working with VR hardware.
Educational Requirements:
Given the complexity and the specialized expertise required, candidates pursuing or holding a Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field are preferred.

- Excellent team player with effective communication skills.
- Proactive and capable of exploring solutions independently.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Location:
The internship will be on-site in Paris and no remote work is possible.
Language Requirements:
We are an English-speaking team, so candidates must be fluent in spoken and written English.
Duration of Internship:
Internships in France for higher education typically last between 2 to 6 months. The exact duration can be discussed based on the project needs and the candidate’s availability. The position is available as of June 2024.
