Neurobehavioral Systems, Inc. (NBS) is a small and growing company located in downtown Berkeley, CA, right in the middle of the beautiful San Francisco bay area.

We are currently seeking:

Cognitive Neuroscientist to develop computerized neuropsychological tests

Location: Downtown Berkeley, CA 94704

Description: Neurobehavioral Systems, Inc. is looking for an experienced cognitive neuroscientist or research psychologist to join a research team developing computerized cognitive tests. The position is supported by a 4-year SBIR grant from the NIH.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in collaboration with the PIs to assure completion of SBIR grant milestones.
  • Design and program cognitive tests.
  • Recruit and hire research associates
  • Develop technical specifications for software engineers.
  • Supervise cognitive test administration.
  • Analyze behavioral data and present results in scientific publications and at meetings.
  • Assist with FDA product approval.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D and/or M.D.
  • Post-doctoral training in neuropsychology, cognitive neuroscience, cognitive psychology or behavioral neurology.
  • A strong publication record.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in designing and programming cognitive tests.
  • Grant management experience.

Additional Desired Attributes:

  • Participation in software development projects.
  • Experience with clinical trials.
  • Familiarity with FDA review.
  • Neuropsychology or medical licensure.
  • Experience with any of the following: elderly subject testing, eye tracking, automated video analysis, automatic speech recognition, voice analysis.
