Software Engineer

Job Summary:

As a software engineer you will be responsible for the development of customer facing software to demonstrate the benefits of Neuranics technology and products, including app development, maintenance and modularisation. This role involves working closely with both the engineering and commercial teams contributing to improved product integration and customer experience and ensuring the successful deployment of our TMR devices. You will play a key role in shaping product capabilities, and user experience. With the intensity of the work and the need for team collaboration this role is 100% office based.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cross-platform XR integration: Quest 3 (OpenXR + Unity + Wearables Device Access Toolkit); Vision Pro (Swift + RealityKit + CoreBluetooth); Snap Spectacles (Lens Studio + SnapML + BLE GATT)

• XR Demo application development: build prototypes on Unity / WebXR

• Collaboration with the Machine Learning team: integrate trained models into the app and XR experiences, closing the last mile from model to product

• Maintain and modularise the existing app: refactor the structure, decouple modules, abstract core components so new features plug in cleanly

• App documentation: documenting the different versions developed for different customers/dev kits, keeping them aligned with the newest developments

• Wristband SDK development and maintenance: BLE / GATT communication layer, connection management, data stream stability, and error recovery

• User testing infrastructure: logging, telemetry, and repro tooling to support blind tests and downstream iteration

• Collaboration with Applications/Sales Team: Determining what new features to update/integrate for the different customers and demos

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, or other relevant fields
• >3 years’ experience in customer-facing app development
• Technical skills in software development for XR applications
• Experience with Python and C#
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve system integration issues, including modular code organization and refactoring discipline
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to interface between the product team and customer requirements from the commercial team
• Willingness to travel for customer visits if needed
• Self-motivated and adaptable, capable of working independently or within a team in a fast-paced environment

 Desirable: 

• Swift, Kotlin, or Android experience or similar
• Hands on experience with BLE / GATT
• Unity, XR Interaction Toolkit, OpenXR protocol, or prior XR project experience
• Familiarity with biomedical signal processing
• Experience writing software in an ISO9001 quality framework
