Research Assistant/PostDoc – Eye Tracking Data Analysis

We are looking for a research assistant / post-doctoral fellow for 1 year to assist on eye tracking data analysis, in the Laboratoire de Neurosciences Cognitives in Marseille.

The study is part of a larger project that investigates social perception across adolescent development. We are inquiring whether ocular exploration of dynamic scenes varies as a function of the social content and whether this differs between adolescents and adults. The successful candidate will

  • Develop tools and methods to analyse eye tracking data across conditions and groups.
  • Assist with designing new experiments, in adults and in children and in laboratory and fMRI scanner environment.

S(h)e will have excellent statistics skills, knowledge of R, Python or Matlab as well as, preferably, prior experience with eye tracking data. Experience in Social Cognitive Science is also desirable.

Proficiency in French language is not a pre-request, but the opportunity to learn it is one of the many advantages of living in Marseille! The Laboratoire de Neurosciences Cognitives is a multi-disciplinary unit embedded into a wider dynamic community of researchers in cognitive neurosciences. Marseille is a vibrant city in an exceptional environment (Mediterranean weather, sea, hills all around the city…).

The position is for one year initially while we are applying for funding to extend it. Salary will be commensurate with experience, within the French regulations.
