Job Description

The successful candidate will perform technical development activities with emphasis on lab and pilot scale small molecule oral solid dose formulation & process development.

 

Responsibilities Include: 

1)Responsible for formulation design, process development and scale-up of small molecule dosage forms
2) Lead engineering and validation campaigns
3) Responsible for technology transfer to clinical and commercial manufacturing sites
4) Responsible for hands on laboratory and pilot plant work
5) Support regulatory filing activities
6) Lead formulation development projects
7) Partner with project leaders to manage budgets, resources, and timelines to complete oral solid dose projects.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience with the development of small molecule dose formulation and process from bench to pilot scale including transfer to commercial sites. Experience running equipment and unit operations required for manufacturing. Experience designing, executing, and filing process validation experiments. Good verbal and written communication skills; good problem-solving abilities; good organizational skills; and an ability to work cross-functionally and with internal and external partners. Experience working in late stage development or commercial manufacture required.

 

Education

PhD in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Pharmaceutics, Chemistry, or Material Science with 5 or more years’ experience in small molecule formulation development.
