20 Apr PhD – fMRI & EEG Studies
I seek to recruit a PhD student to work on neuroimaging (fMRI & EEG) studies of the language/vision interface, particularly the issue of predication and compositionality, how constituent concepts/percepts like verbs/actions, nouns/objects, prepositions/spatial-relations, and adjectives/properties combine to form aggregates like sentences. Interests also include augmenting data used to train computer vision and NLP models with neuroimaging data to improve engineered systems. This is a funded RA position. Interested parties should contact:
Jeffrey Mark Siskind
qobi@purdue.edu
Please include a CV, a onepage statement of your research interests, and a one-page summary of any past research experience you have. URLs for any publications you might have are also welcome.
Thanks,
Jeff (http://engineering.purdue.edu/~qobi)
