Role Description:
We are looking for a Hardware/Electrical Engineer to build a new wearable for a stealth startup in the healthcare field. (L.A. Area)
Job Duties:
- Build electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of electricity and materials.
- Confirms system’s and components’ capabilities by designing testing methods; testing properties.
- Develops electrical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials.
- Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for building and assembling electrical components; soliciting observations from operators.
- Assures product quality by designing electrical testing methods; testing finished products and system capabilities.
- Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
Skills:
- Deep Knowledge of Signal processing, ideally including bio-sensors like EEG, EMG, EKG and others.
- Electronics and photonics sensor, ideally including NIRs, FNIRS and others.
- Control systems, Electromagnetics & Electrical energy.
- Telecommunications, including Wifi, Bluetooth, NFC
- PCB design, hardware design and integration, from prototype to final product.
- Low-level source code development, system architecture, operating systems & hardware design.
- Microcontroller/Firmware based systems using C, C++, or assembly language.
Qualifications:
- Direct experience with processing and packaging of silicon-based sensor, mechanical, optical devices or similar.
- Demonstration of solid analytical and problem-solving skills, including problem identification, data analysis, action planning, and execution.
- 3 years of experience in a similar role, background in Materials Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or similar engineering field.
