Department
The Department of Psychology is a large and vibrant department in the Faculty of Science and Health. We occupy purpose-built facilities including state-of-the-art EEG/ERP, eye-tracking, psycho-physiology and computerised testing labs. Adjacent to the building, academics also have access to the facilities housed in the Centre for Brain Science (CBS), which additionally includes TMS, tDCS, virtual reality, pain and human sexuality testing facilities. We are internationally known for our excellence in research in a range of areas, with clear links between our different research groups. We offer an excellent education to our students. All our undergraduate courses, and our MSc Psychology conversion course, are accredited by the British Psychological Society. The department is entering an exciting stage of continued planned growth and we are looking for several ambitious individuals who will work with colleagues within the department as well as with staff across the Faculty of Science and Health to help enhance our reputation further.
The Department offers a rich and diverse environment and traditionally engages with a range of research across the University. These have been strengthened through major investment in a new STEM building, which consolidates and integrates our teaching and research infrastructure and will facilitate collaborations across disciplines.
The department is looking to make six appointments at the Lecturer level. We welcome applicants from all fields of psychology in order to build on our existing research strengths.
