Inscopix, a discovery phase neurotechnology company, is seeking an Application Engineer committed to providing top-notch technical and scientific support to our rapidly growing customer base.
The Application Engineer will troubleshoot and resolve customer data analysis and software issues. He/she will channel technical feedback from the field, visiting customer sites, if needed, to our engineers and product development team. The Application Engineer will be instrumental in developing, testing and validating new product features implemented as a result of customer feedback before the product features are released to customers. Utilizing their product knowledge, the Application Engineer will create value-add application notes and customer support material. With strong technical and interpersonal skills, the Application Engineer will act as the technical bridge between our customers and cross-functional internal teams.
Responsibilities:

- Provide appropriate technical solutions (both software and hardware) to customers to solve their product use and related experimental challenges
- Act as a technical bridge internally between customer support, operations and R&D to diagnose and solve complex technical problems
- Proactively engage with customers to understand use cases and needs to help identify new product and application development opportunities
- Participate in internal Q/A process for new products and product upgrades
- Create customer-facing technical documents, such as application notes
- Develop partner and customer-facing training material (tutorials, videos, etc.)
Requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analysis, Engineering or related major with a strong technical background. Advanced degrees preferred.
- Minimum of three years of experience as an Application Engineer
- Experience with imaging systems or instrumentation hardware and software
- Programming skills with Python or C++ desirable
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and build consensus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
