16 Jun Postdoctoral Research Associate–Experimental
A number of postdoctoral or more senior research positions in neural circuits are available in the laboratory of Sebastian Seung at the Princeton Neuroscience Institute. The researchers will apply cutting-edge neuroanatomical techniques for observing brain structure, including serial electron microscopy, whole-brain light microscopy, viral labeling, and immunolabeling. The researchers will be members of a multidisciplinary team. Through collaborations with physiology labs, anatomical studies will be combined with optogenetics and/or two-photon microscopy. Computational lab members will assist with image analysis, enabling a “big data” approach to neuroanatomy. Application domains may include retina, olfactory cortex, and neocortex. These full-time positions have an initial appointment of one year and possibility of renewal based on satisfactory performance and funding availability.
See http://bit.ly/EyeWireNature for an example of a recent publication relating structure and function of neural circuits.
