NIRx Medical Technologies is looking to hire an organized, resourceful, and highly-motivated professional for the position of Technical Sales Consultant in our Minneapolis, MN office.
We are an international company, specializing in the development and sales of high-end hardware and software used in brain imaging research.
You will be part of a young and dynamic global team in constant contact with academia. You will be listening to the neuroscience community and advising them on the best fNIRS solutions NIRx offers for their research goals.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about science, but does not necessarily want to stay in academia. Our ideal candidate should be goal-driven, have a deep understanding and passion for science, and be confident communicating with scientists.
Responsibilities

- Technical consultation, including sales and some tech support, for neuroscientist customer base
- Providing sales demonstrations, presentations, and proposals for prospective customers
- Speaking to potential customers on the phone, via video conferencing, and in-person
- Following up with leads gathered from conferences and web requests
- Conducting some technical trainings and installations
- Representing NIRx at relevant conferences, workshops, and events

- Ability to describe, compare & understand highly-technical scientific solutions
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a lab or professional environment
- Good interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Attention to detail and solution-oriented mindset
- Excellent computer skills: typing (at least 40 WPM), composing emails, MS Office
- Experience working independently and in team environments
- Travel of up to 50% in Fall & Spring (our high seasons)
- Bachelor’s Degree: science degree preferred
- Work in Minneapolis, MN office
Desired Skills & Knowledge:

- Experience working in neuroscience field (fNIRS would be a big plus)
- Strong passion for science & understanding of the scientific method
- Skilled at presenting to large groups
- Some sales experience
