Android Team Lead

We are looking for an Android Team Lead to help take our Android team to the next level, leading a team of Android developers and making architectural decisions for our products.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

    • Lead a small team of Android engineers.
    • Own and build new features on a well-established Android application.
    • Take architectural and technical decisions on the development of new features.
    • Maintain existing features, and ensure app stays stable.
    • Use expert knowledge of the android platform to help guide design, product, and engineering decisions.
    • Work with other engineering teams to evolve and improve the Peak ecosystem

 

REQUIREMENTS

    • Experience building consumer-facing mobile or web software.
    • 5+ years experience building Android applications.
    • Experience building/contributing to/maintaining at least 2 apps already on the Play Store.
    • Expert knowledge of the Android SDK.
    • Proficiency in Java, Kotlin is a plus.
    • Experience of Agile processes
    • Good understanding of data storage on Android.
    • Experience integrating communication between mobile client and server.
    • Good software architecture experience, OOP, design patterns and anti-patterns.

 

Nice to Haves:

    • Experience building REST APIs
    • Experience of managing a small team.
    • Knowledge of libGDX
    • Experience with unit testing, CI / CD.
    • Experience using the following libraries: Toothpick, Retrofit, OkHttp, Android support libraries, Android architecture components, Room, Google Play Services, Play Billing
    • Library, ButterKnife, Lottie.
