Reflexion Health, a digital healthcare company based in sunny San Diego, is looking for an energetic and driven entry-level to mid-level software engineer to join our team. In this role, you will help design, develop and maintain the web apps and APIs that keep our patients healthy. What You’ll Do

• • Develop features for our platform – You will own features across the stack, from web UIs to back end development.
  • Maintain existing services that keep our patients healthy.
  • Use a multitude of programming languages: C#, Go, Ruby, JavaScript, SQL.
  • Contribute to and maintain documentation
  • Interact with teams, including game developers, product and clinical teams to understand and build new features.
  • Contribute to our team’s continuous improvement culture and software engineering best practices.
  • Work within HIPAA healthcare safeguards to keep patient information safe.

Skills You Possess

• • You have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field (or equivalent degree and experience)
  • You have built 3-tier apps: You are able to develop web front ends, back end APIs and do database development.
  • You have strong experience doing web development, including knowledge of JavaScript and know a front end framework such as React or Angular.
  • You have strong experience writing code in some other C-like programming language (e.g., C#, Java, Go)
  • You are comfortable developing in many different programming languages – what you don’t know you are able to learn quickly.
  • You have database development experience – you know how to layout relational database tables when developing a feature.
  • You are familiar developing software that targets a Linux environment.
  • You care about developing software that is robust, maintainable and scalable.
  • You have strong debugging skills – you know how to use logs and a debugger to root out bugs.
  • You have worked with software development life cycle tools like source control, and issue tracking systems.
  • You are interested in learning about and applying new technologies and development practices.
  • Cares about accurate documentation and careful communication.
  • You are organized and love solving problems.

Bonus Points for

• • Experience with any of these back end technologies: .NET Core, Go, Ruby on Rails
  • Experience with any of these front end technologies: TypeScript, React
  • Experience with MySQL development
  • Experience working within an AWS infrastructure
  • Experience in a Clinical setting or Healthcare Information Technology
  • Experience in a Startup environment
