Job Description
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for supporting all aspects of Manufacturing Operations at NeuroPace.
Maintain quality standards in and around manufacturing areas, ensuring a safe work environment for all personnel and helps to develop a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
Responsibilities:

- Write, review, and improve manufacturing procedures and forms in compliance with the quality system, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing and Development Engineers to create, review, and maintain manufacturing routers. Including verifying manufacturing labor times are properly calculated.
- Support departmental responsibilities associated with training and qualifying manufacturing assemblers.
- Assist in creating schematics and dimensional drawings for the Manufacturing
- Support improvement programs for new and existing manufacturing programs/processes.
- Participate in root cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Propose alternative methods to continuously improve and optimize operating procedures, work flows, and data management.
- Support activities related to validation of new and reworked equipment in the manufacturing areas.
- Respond to manufacturing emergencies.
- Maintain safety, quality, and GMP standards across all manufacturing areas.
- Perform responsibilities while complying with NeuroPace Quality systems procedures.
Requirements:

- BS degree in mechanical, manufacturing or industrial engineering or similar field, or an AS degree and 4+ years or work experience in a related field.
- Very strong aptitude for mechanical work.
- Proficient in the use of Pro/E or other solid modeling software. Familiar with industry standard drafting and tolerance practices; proficient in Office PC applications.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in pressure situations.
- Requires working knowledge in DFM, Lean Six Sigma methodologies, as well as DOE and Statistical Process Control.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, flexible, and adaptable to change.
- The ideal candidate must be self motivated, highly organized, and resourceful in solving manufacturing issues. In addition, posses a well-developed team orientation with critical thinking and problem solving/analytical skills.
