JOB SUMMARY

The Biology Research Associate will be a member of the team charged with taking novel findings from the company’s platform and translating them into drug discovery programs. Candidates should be highly motivated with previous experience in molecular biology, in vitro assays, cell and tissue culture and be able to work with in vivo rodent models. Successful candidates must be able to work effectively both in a collaborative setting and independently while possessing outstanding written, visual and oral communications skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• • Mammalian primary cell culture work
  • Development of in vivo assays
  • Imaging using light & fluorescent microscopy
  • Biochemical analysis of primary and cultured cells

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• • You must have:
    • Bachelor’s degree in biology or similar field
    • Research laboratory experience
  • Additional preferred experience includes:
    • Experience with primary cells, particularly intestinal or neural cell types
    • Hands on in vivo experience including laparotomies and motility assays
    • Histology including sectioning, staining, and imaging
    • Flow cytometry
