Job Description

We focus on sending a variety of data streams to the brain via the sense of touch. With so much unused real estate on the body, the skin presents huge potential for the delivery of new information. We are currently building the world’s first hearing assistive technology that enables people to listen with their skin. Our team is inspired by the transformative technology we are building. As an Android Software Engineer at Neosensory, you will be a key contributor and leader working closely with other mobile, backend, firmware and QA engineers. You will be a master at simplifying difficult problems, breaking down complicated tasks, writing documentation and creating scalable solutions. You are joining a team that loves to solve tough problems and helping to create a new technology. You will lead the development of the Neosensory Android app that will interface with our first sound-to-touch wearable.

Required skills:

• • 4+ years of experience in Android development
    Experience creating a consumer app that interfaces with IoT or wearable devices
  • Ability to professionally communicate with team members
  • Ability to work independently, breakdown tasks and estimate timelines
  • Experience with Bluetooth/BLE
  • Ability to evaluate solutions both in terms of algorithm and data structure fundamentals as well as object oriented design principles
  • Experience creating reusable components with elegant, intuitive API interfaces
  • Expertise in Java and Android

Bonus:

• • Managing or mentoring other engineers
  • Experience creating a consumer app from concept and taking it through launch
  • Experience implementing paywalls and in app payments
  • A feel for visual and interaction design
