Job Description

MindMaze is seeking for a candidate with a PhD in Neurosciences to jointly apply for a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship (MSCA IF). We invite individuals with experience working on upper-limb control and haptics, who are interested in conducting research into human sensorimotor control and its application to neurorehabilitation after brain injuries (e.g. stroke, spinal cord injury) to apply to this opportunity. To the successful candidate, we provide an in-depth mentoring process, spanning both academia and industry.

The selected researcher will be contacted for MSCA IF development of project proposal. We will support the candidate to prepare and submit the proposal.

 

JOB POSITION:

If the proposal is accepted and funded by EU, the candidate will join our Neuroscience team, working closely with the Clinical Field Specialists and Engineering teams, as well as clinical & academic partners.

 

You will mainly focus on:

    • Research, design and develop algorithms and protocols for multimodal motor training and assessment for different neurological populations
    • Implementation of the developed algorithms in the different devices of the MindMotion platform
    • Clinical validation with healthy and neurological populations
    • Patents writings, technical reports and scientific publications

 

Qualifications

    • Skills that we look out for are among
      • Holding Ph.D. in Neurosciences or similar by September 2019 (MSCA IF requirement)
      • Having less than 3 years of living in Switzerland in the past 5 years (MSCA IF requirement)
      • Experience as human sensorimotor control researcher, with specialization in neurorehabilitation
      • Very good knowledge and interest in programming (e.g., python, Unity)
    • Icing on the cake
      • Demonstrable interest for development focusing on the patient’s care and clinical interest
      • Strong mathematics and data analysis skills
      • Experience in running experimental studies in psychophysics and/or neuroimaging
      • Experience with immersive virtual reality projects and/or robotics
      • Minimum B2 level in English (French is a plus)

 

Duration: Up to 24 months contract
