We’re looking for a Technical Architect who is comfortable designing technical architecture across front-end (iOS, Android, and Web) through to the back-end systems (Azure) that support it.
In this role you will:

- Perform detailed technical design and implementation of complex iOS/Android and back-end applications
- Support translating complex business requirements into actionable units of work that team members can understand and implement.
- Work closely with the Product, UX/UI, data scientists and software engineers to own the technical design and build that will extend our consumer facing products, platforms and features.
- Design and coordinate the continuous improvement of the product infrastructure, keeping up to date with latest technologies, balancing innovation, support for legacy systems, stability.
- Help to drive capability development through demonstrating applied technologies.
- Continuously analyse systems performance and security issues to identify critical area.
- Work with the company’s leadership and product teams to reduce risk, communicate impediments, and improve workflows and processes.
- Clearly communicate risk and implementation details to clients and project stakeholders.
- Act as the Data Protection Officer of the company.
- Line manage the development team (C.10 people and growing spread between London (UK) and Pisa (Italy)) and participate in engineering leadership with the CTO.
- Coordinate technical resources and tasks across a global distributed team.
- Coordinate the technical documentation of the systems and the information flow.
- Ensure the product code and its documentation meets industry standards.
REQUIREMENTS

- Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field/experience.
- A passion for producing products users will love to the highest standards, while understanding the pragmatic trade-offs necessary to constantly deliver product improvements for users.
- 3+ years of experience architecting iOS applications (mainly Objective-C), Android, and back-end systems (we use C# and F# on Azure).
- 2+ years of team line management experience of a software team.
- 8+ years demonstrable software engineering experience.
- Solid understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle.
- Solid understanding of architecting back-end systems.
- Optional, but strongly appreciated, knowledge of Machine Learning Pipelines.
- Flexibility on frequent visits to the other offices, or even relocation for limited periods.
- Good communication skills and a proficient English speaker/writer.
- Experience working with teams located across multiple countries highly appreciated.
