The Postdoc will have the opportunity to collaborate and train with multiple scientists, be exposed to the drug discovery process and gain insight into the translation of basic biology towards novel therapeutic development.
Job Description
Neuromuscular and Movement Disorders Department (NMMD), in collaboration with Translational In Vivo Sciences (TIVS) at Biogen invites applicants for a postdoctoral fellowship. The Postdoc will have the opportunity to collaborate and train with multiple scientists, be exposed to the drug discovery process and gain insight into the translation of basic biology towards novel therapeutic development. Importantly, the Postdoc will be strongly encouraged to present data at external conferences and submit paper(s) for publication.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must possess a strong drive for discovery and aim at publishing in high-impact journals. A significant understanding of basic neurobiology of neurodegenerative diseases as well as some background in mitochondrial biology are a plus.

- Significant experience in performing experiments in mice (stereotaxic injections, histology, behavior) and/or prior exposure to single-cell sequencing and FACS/immunopanning is desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative research environment will be a plus.
- The successful candidate should have a proven track record of independent research as demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications.
Education

- Ph.D. degree in the areas of Neurobiology, Cell Biology or similar relevant field.
