We’re looking for a full stack leader to develop, test, and launch multimodal crowd biometric platforms across attention-based industries such as film, music, e-sports, and education.

You will lead a team of engineers and engage with management to discover the needs of the mission and write highly reliable production-grade software. You will be responsible for the complete life-cycle of what you create including ideation, development, testing, and support. You’ll also help grow the careers of other engineers as we build the world’s biggest database of real-time emotions to eventually mine and model the underlying dynamics of human engagement.

Our end goal is to deploy adaptive teaching engines that map human knowledge and personalize lessons: We see a world where videos games react to children’s moods in real-time to maximize engagement and teach them useful skills like math, physics, computer science in the process. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• • Manage and mentor 4-6 software engineers across multiple product lines.
  • Attract, onboard, and retain diverse top talent. Develop people and teams through coaching, mentoring, and management support.
  • Conduct weekly 1:1s, goal setting, feedback conversations and semi-annual performance reviews with engineers to ensure their well-being and team health, and support them in their learning and development.
  • Build highly reliable software solutions for every part of the firm. Own all aspects of software engineering and product development
  • Provide strong technical leadership, focus on continuous improvement — Grow with our company as we push each other to reach our highest potential.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• • You are a strong front-end coder. Regardless of which frameworks you use or how you learned them, we’re looking for people who can write clean, effective code. You should already have proficiency in JavaScript and an understanding of how web technologies work.
  • Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and other technical tools.
  • Proficiency with programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, React, JavaScript, or similar languages.
  • 5+ years of experience in web applications development
  • 3+ years of experience as an architect – proven ability to design and implement robust and scalable systems with flexible UI
  • 3+ years of experience managing software engineers
  • 3+ years of experience feature engineering supervised and unsupervised A.I systems
  • Expertise in distributed data storage, parallel computing, back-end applications, data integration.
  • Experience with biometric time series data prefered but not necessary
  • Build and design large complex systems in about one-third the time that most competent people think possible
