JOB SUMMARY:
The Staff Scientist is responsible for conducting research under the supervision of a Research Faculty member and functions as a technical or intellectual resource to the assigned work group. The Staff Scientist may assume responsibility for a specific topic within the faculty member’s research program.
Directly accountable to the supervising research faculty.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- Ph.D. in biological, computational or behavioral sciences (or related discipline) or M.D./D.O. is preferred; exceptional individuals with other advanced degrees demonstrating superior skills and knowledge maybe considered.
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience preferred.
- In addition, there is expectation of a minimum of 5 peer-reviewed publications in which the candidate made a significant contribution.

Located Danville, Pa., the largest tertiary/quaternary care teaching hospital in the region, is licensed for 475 beds, including 89 pediatric beds in the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital.
