The Position

We are seeking a prolific, versatile and driven software engineer who’s excited to be a part of a dynamic team developing software and systems to power the coming generation of brain-based human-machine interfaces, where neurotechnology is integrated into everyday life.

Responsibilities

• • Work on developing, expanding and scaling our cloud-based software for advanced biosignal processing and brain-computer interfacing.
  • Write production-grade code and integrate it into existing desktop and cloud-based biogsignal processing applications.

Professional Requirements

• • 5+ years of demonstrated industry programming experience (or 3+ years with a B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree), including 3+ years in Python
  • Demonstrated expertise deploying production software with Amazon Web Services, or similar Cloud platforms (Azure, etc.), and various related products and workflows in a production environment (e.g., EC2, S3, ELB, Chef/Puppet, Vagrant, Docker)
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to self-manage projects, and a desire to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging high-tech startup environment at the frontier of neurotechnology
  • Collaborative, positive, team-oriented mindset

Technical Requirements

• Required Skills:
  • Strong Python coding abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, deploy robust and secure cloud-based applications
  • Demonstrated ability to write high quality production-ready code that is clean and clearly documented
  • Desire and ability to quickly learn new programming language and platforms, as needed
  • Demonstrated excellent technical reasoning and problem-solving skills
• Preferred skills:
  • Experience with frontend development (HTML/CSS, JavaScript & JS frameworks)
  • Experience with mobile development (Android, iOS) is a plus
  • Experience with C/C++ is a plus

This is a full time position at our San Diego office.
