25 Sep PostDoc Research Associate – Rice University
Position Summary
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Rice University in conjunction with the Rice Neuroengineering Initiative (NEI) has one immediate opening for a Postdoctoral Researcher to work at the intersection of computational imaging and microscopy to create a full-cortex imaging system for freely moving rodents based on FlatCam/FlatScope technology. FlatCam is a new lensless imaging technology that can potentially turn flat, curved or flexible surfaces into cameras.
To create this first whole-cortex imaging system for freely moving rodents we are looking for highly motivated and qualified postdoctoral fellows with computational imaging backgrounds and/or microscopy and optics backgrounds (particularly in vivo calcium of voltage imaging). The successful applicants will assume a lead role in developing and testing the first-of-its-kind FlatScope system, collaborating with exceptional PhD students, faculty and collaborators from Rice.
