Our Muse and Muse 2 headbands are designed to make meditation easier and provide real-time audio and visual feedback on your meditative state through the Muse companion app.

As a Full Stack Developer on our Cloud team, you have 2+ years’ experience developing web and/or mobile software across the entire technical stack, are skilled at working in a team agile environment, and are dedicated to building products that users love.

About our stack – we use React.js on the front-end, Google App Engine running Python using the Flask micro-framework for REST API calls to the server. We also use a range of Google Cloud Platform services: Google App/Compute Engine, Task Queues, Pub/Sub, Google File Storage, Datastore, and BigQuery.

What you’ll be doing:

• • Working collaboratively within the team to define the problem, discuss and debate design decisions to get to the right solution
  • Building front-end web apps based on agreed upon specifications
  • Documenting designs
  • Testing code, ensuring high test coverage and shipping code that you are proud of
  • Working with our front-end app teams to design and implement APIs
  • Learning and improving on existing technology, code and platforms
  • Taking on projects across the stack: front-end, back-end and everything in between

Your skills and experience:

• • Experience building complex browser-based systems
  • React.js (or Angular or Ember experience)
  • JavaScript ES6 or TypeScript
  • Python (we use Flask framework)
  • Google App Engine (or AWS or Azure experience)
  • MySQL and one of the NoSQL databases such as Google Cloud Datastore, Mongo, Dynamo, Couch, etc.
  • Experience building REST APIs
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and computer science principles
  • Understanding of web development
  • Comfortable in Git
  • Familiarity with software development life cycle and agile methodology
  • Experience with writing clear, straightforward, and concise code
  • Computer Science degree or similar degree
  • Experience with unit testing and end-to-end testing methodologies
